Tinubu Wins APC Presidential Primary with Over 10 Million Votes
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged victorious in the presidential primary election of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), securing a landslide win with over 10 million votes and defeating his sole challenger, businessman Stanley Osifo.
The nationwide direct primary, conducted across the country’s 8,809 wards, saw President Tinubu dominate the contest in what party officials described as an overwhelming endorsement of his leadership ahead of the next general election.
According to the official figures, Tinubu recorded massive support across virtually all states of the federation, comfortably defeating Osifo in the race for the party’s presidential ticket.
The result which was announced on Sunday by the APC Presidential Primary Election Returning Officer, Pius Anyim, during the collation exercise held at the Bola Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja
The outcome cements Tinubu’s position as the APC’s flagbearer and signals strong backing from party members as preparations intensify for the forthcoming presidential election.
