NNPCL Repairs Escravos–Lagos Pipeline, Resumes Full Operations

The Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) has announced the successful restoration of the Escravos–Lagos Pipeline System (ELPS) in Warri, Delta State.

NNPCL’s Andy Odeh, Chief Corporate Communications Officer, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.

BIGPEN NIGERIA (https://bigpenngr.com) had reported that an unexpected explosion occurred on the pipelines December 10, 2025.

Following the incident, NNPC said it immediately activated emergency response, deployed coordinated containment measures, and worked tirelessly with multidisciplinary teams.

Odeh said that the term ensured that the damaged section was repaired, pressure-tested, and safely recommissioned.

He said that currently the pipeline is fully operational, reaffirming NNPCL’S resilience and commitment to energy security.

According to the statement, “This achievement was made possible through the unwavering support of our host communities, the guidance of regulators, the vigilance of security agencies, and the dedication of our partners and staff.
