Elumelu Congratulates Asagba of Asaba on 70th Birthday

The former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Ndudi Elumelu, OON, has congratulated the Asagba of Asaba, Prof Epiphany Azinge, SAN, OON, on his 70th birthday anniversary.

In a congratulatory message on Thursday November 13, 2025, Elumelu praised God for the monarch’s life, describing his 70th birthday as a significant milestone marking seven decades of life, experiences, and contributions to humanity.

“Your Royal Majesty’s 70th birthday Anniversary is a momentous occasion celebrating a lifetime of achievements, love, and dedication,” Elumelu said. “We join you in celebrating the love of God on you.”

Elumelu hailed Prof Azinge as a symbol of humility and intellectual capacity, a legal luminary who has achieved great heights, becoming a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and an Officer of the Niger (OON).

He noted that Prof Azinge’s contributions to the legal profession globally are exceptional and immeasurable, citing his roles as Director-General of the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies and Judge of the Commonwealth Secretariat Arbitral Tribunal.

The accomplished Federal lawmaker and prominent politician also stated that the Asagba embodies visionary leadership and represents the rich cultural heritage and tradition of Asaba Kingdom and the Anioma Nation.

On behalf of his family, and his political associates in Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency and Delta State as a whole, Elumelu rejoiced with the Asagba, saying, “It gives us great joy and fulfillment joining the world over to celebrate a Father figure who has continued to demonstrate strength, passion, and love to the people.”

Elumelu prayed for God’s continued blessings, peace, and good health, saying, “We pray to the Lord God Almighty to continue to grant Your Royal Majesty, peace that surpasses all understanding and gives you many more momentous years of fruitfulness with good health.”
