The chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, Friday Ovoke Warri, has tasked participants of the “More Cap-Up Training” to be financially responsible in managing any available resources they will receive as starter packs to enhance their various businesses.

Warri gave the charge Friday while declaring open the “More Cap-Up Training” organized by the Delta State Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (DEMSMEDA) in collaboration with the office of the first lady of Delta State at the Otobo Ekpre Hall, inside the Isoko South council Secretariat, Oleh.

The council chairman emphasized that the call became necessary considering the fact that the More Cap-Up training on financial literacy for micro business owners in the creative industry was a commendable initiative that will benefit business owners at the grassroots level.

Warri, further expressed gratitude to the Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, for ensuring nursing mothers and business owners are major beneficiaries of the empowerment program.

“You will not have anything to fall back on if you deplete your capital. Be prudent with your resources to reap the fruits of your labor. As participants view this as an opportunity to enhance your business, rather than an overnight wealth lifestyle.

“Do not leave your business solely to your apprentice; continue to devote absolute attention and care to foster growth in your business.”, the council chairman stated.

Earlier, Executive Secretary of the Delta State Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (DEMSMEDA), Godwin Adolor, stated that the training was targeted at business owners in the Delta South senatorial district, noting that after the training, certificates will be issued to all successful participants, which will later be used to empower all trainees at the Delta State capital, Asaba, on a later date.
