Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North in the National Assembly, has urged leaders to ensure that governance at all level reflects integrity, fairness, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of the people.

Nwoko made the call at an Iftar dinner hosted by the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Hope Uzodinma of Imo State which he attended.

The event, which brought together key political and religious figures, emphasized the shared commitment to values that strengthen society.

In a post on Facebook, Senator Nwoko highlighted the significance of Ramadan, noting that, much like other spiritual seasons observed by different faiths, it calls for deep reflection, sacrifice, and a recommitment to faith and compassion.

He drew parallels between Ramadan and similar periods in Christianity, such as Lent and Easter, which also emphasize humility, kindness, and service to others.

“These sacred seasons of fasting and prayers, regardless of our religious backgrounds, remind us that love, peace, and service to humanity are the values that bind us together,” Nwoko said.

Senator Nwoko emphasized the importance of fostering unity and working towards a more just and inclusive world through shared devotion and commitment to humanity’s greater good.
