Car Wash Owner Arrested While Purchasing AK-47 For N1.3m To Secure Number One Position In Dreaded Cult Group

A middle-aged man, Amadasun Victor linked to the notorious Vikings confraternity in Delta State has been apprehended by the police while attempting to purchase an AK-47 rifle for a staggering ₦1,300,000 to secure number one position of the cult group.
The suspect was picked up in a hotel located in Sapele, where he had gone to purchase the rifle, according to State Police Public Relations Officer SP Bright Edafe who confirmed this in a terse statement.
During interrogating, Amadasun, who claims to operate a car wash business, confessed to the police that the weapon was meant to help him attain the leadership of the Vikings confraternity.
In a terse message accompanying a video footage while parading the suspect, Edafe said that it is now a disturbing trend that evolved from youthful indiscretions to serious criminal activities, including internet fraud, cultism, and armed robbery.
He said that the trend involves the suspect initially falling into bad company, which set him on a path of crime.
In his analysis, he noted that the suspect involvement in internet fraud, commonly known as “Yahoo Yahoo,” served as a stepping stone into more severe criminal acts.
According to him, as the lure of quick money began to fade, he and his associates shifted their focus to kidnapping and armed robbery to sustain their illicit lifestyle.
Edafe disclosed that the suspect’s ambition to ascend to the number one position within the Vikings confraternity was a driving force behind his actions.
Membership in such organizations often comes with dangerous requirements, one of which was to possess an AK-47, a clear indication of the violent culture that permeates these groups.
His words; “Its starts with bad friends, then migrate to internet fraud, cultism, acquiring of arms, and finally when yahoo stop paying, they migrate to kidnapping and armed robbery.
“He said he belonged to vikings confraternity and was vying for number 1 position and the condition to get the position is to own an AK-47 rifle.
“He was arrested while negotiating to buy one AK-47 rifle for #1,300,000 naira”.
The police image maker, however, reiterated their commitment to combating such criminal networks and have urged the public to report suspicious activities to help prevent the rise of cultism and violence in the community.
