Heavy Shooting In Asaba As Gunmen Reportedly Abduct Delta Ex-Commissioner From Church, Kill Two Police Officers

Joan Mrapkpor, a former Commissioner for Higher Education in Delta State, has been reportedly kidnapped inside her church, King Jesus & I Church, in Asaba, Delta State capital.

BIGPEN NIGERIA (https;//bigpenngr.com) understands that the incident occurred in the afternoon, with heavy gun shots reported.

Multiple sources revealed that one of her aide was shot dead, and a security personnel was also injured.

Efforts to reach the Delta State Police Command’s spokesman, Bright Edafe, were unsuccessful.

The Townhall news portal reported that two police officers were reportedly killed in the operation.

“There was commotion right inside her Church close to Sooth Apartment DBS Road. We all ran due to the heavy gun shooting. It just happened about few minutes ago, one aide shot dead and a security personnel on conscious now”, the report reads.
