Tigran Gambaryan

A dramatic scene unfolded at a Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday when Tigran Gambaryan, a detained Binance executive facing a money laundering charge, slumped in the courtroom due to alleged ill-health.

The incident occurred shortly after the matter was called for trial continuation before Justice Emeka Nwite.

When the case was called, Gambaryan remained seated, prompting Justice Nwite to inquire about his whereabouts.

A lawyer from the defense team assisted Gambaryan to the dock, where he fell and was helped to sit in the front row.

His lawyer, Mark Mordi, explained that Gambaryan had been indisposed and a written application had been filed to notify the court.

Mordi stated, “My lord, the case may not certainly proceed today.”

Throughout the proceeding, Gambaryan rested on the arm of his seat.
