Bayelsa 2023: Diri Is A ‘Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing’, End His Hunger Govt By Voting Sylva – Gov ex-Aide

Former Senior Special Assistant to the Bayelsa State Government and Chairman, Niger Delta Ex-agitators’ Leadership Forum, First Phase, Bayelsa State Chapter, ‘Gen’. Charles Kurobo, has described Governor Douye Diri as a wolf in sheep’s clothing, calling on Bayelsans to vote him out and vote in Chief Timipre Sylva.

Kurobo, who had earlier dumped the Governor’s camp for the All Progressive Congress (APC), sighted hunger as his major reason for dumping the PDP campaign train, said the need for a change of government has become eminent and must be seen as a matter of necessity.

He advised all Bayelsans to come out and take the opportunity of the election to vote out Diri and PDP government without violence to restore hope, all inclusive government, infrastructural development, health care, strong instructions, investment that will boost the economy, stabilize power supply and an enhanced human capital development.

The former Senior Special Assistant to the Governor Diri on Special Duties, said he doubt if governor who subject his political appointees to begging for what to eat can have good plans for the state.

“His lack of initiative for development and focus for the future can be seen in a clear demonstration of the fact that he single-handedly denied APC’s vote for President Tinubu during the Feb, 25th presidential election, only for him to be among the first set of people to demonstrate solidarity for the President’s victory at the supreme court!

“I believe he was there to show support for the PDP, believing that Atiku stood a chance at the apex Court only for him to switch when the Supreme Court Judges affirmed Tinubu victory. And I ask; can such a person be trusted? Obviously not! Not with our votes or anything else.

“If we don’t look inward and advice ourselves our future as a people will crumble right before us and survivors will be saddled with the responsibility of researching to find out what must have transpired

*It is no longer strange to note that governor Douye Diri became a governor by proxy and it will be unfair to judge him by political standards. It is however sad that his nature as a conservative personality had denied him the ability to expand his scope for human capital development and that is why Bayelsa is ravaged with hunger and starvation.

“I can imagine how we got to where we are today! What I don’t understand is why Bayelsans will be listening to Senator Douye Diri canvasing for votes for a second term in office when it’s glaring that there’s virtually no hope for the future under Governor Diri.”

He added, “If he can subject his appointees to begging for what to eat, then I doubt if he has good plans for the state or it’s people because he has been tested and the obvious result for even little children to attest to is failure because the name Douye Diri has become synonymous with hunger!.”

He said that people who are trapped should make a decision and take a bold step and vote out Governor Diri come 2023.

“The shackles of His Excellency the governor, Senator Douye Diri have an opportunity to decide at the polls. My advice is that we all come out and take that opportunity without violence to restore, hope, all inclusive, infrastructural development, health care, strong instructions, attract investment, boost economy stabilize power supply, enhance human capital development, promote culture and tourism, enhance equity and justice and many more through Sylva/Machiva ticket under the APC.

“We don’t have time for inaction Android despair, and the incredible underdeveloped solutions from the Diri led administration around the state are cause for genuine reasons as to why we must all wake up from our slumber and take decisive steps to ensure that our votes counts for APC come November 11.

“The need for a change of government has become eminent and must be seen as a matter of necessity”.
