JUST IN: Gov Oborevwori Dissolves Delta Board Of Internal Revenue

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, has approved the dissolution of the Board of the Delta State Internal Revenue Service with immediate effect.
BIGPEN NIGERIA (www.bigpenngr.com) reports that the dissolution was contained in a statement by Dr. Kingsley Emu, Secretary to the State Government, on Monday.
The statement reads; “It is hereby announced for the information of the general public particularly Deltans, that the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Rt. Hon Sheriff F. O. Oborevwori has approved the dissolution of the Board of the Delta State Internal Revenue Service with immediate effect.
“Accordingly, the Chairman and the members of the Board are by this announcement directed to handover all government properties in their possession to the most senior career officer in the establishment.
“His Excellency the Governor, wishes to use this medium to thank members of the board for their service to the State during their tenure and to wish them well in their future endeavours”.
BIGPEN NIGERIA (www.bigpenngr.com) reports that the former chairman of the board, Sir Monday Onyeme who is the current Deputy Governor of the state and the board secretary, Chief Mike Edegware, alongside one other were screened and confirmed for appointment as chairman and members of the state Board of Internal Revenue by former governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa in October 2019.
