BREAKING: VIP’s Mobile Policeman Shot Dead In Delta, Service Rifle Stolen

A mobile policeman reportedly attached to an unidentified Very Important Personality (VIP), has been shot dead in Effurun, Uvwie council area of Delta state.

Eyewitness disclosed that the police officer was shot multiple times by his assailants who  carted away his service rifle after it was certain that he was dead.

Although details of the incident which occurred at about 2:30p.m along the popular Jakpa Road, were still sketchy as of the time of filing this report, sources said that the deceased officer was attached to a yet-to-be identified VIP who had stopped by a shop along the road to purchase some items.

According to the source, “The hoodlums zoomed to the spot in a vehicle, shot him multiple times and made certain that he was dead before, driving away with his gun”.

Multiple reports say, in the last count, five mobile policemen have been killed and their arms carted away within the past two months, in the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, who confirmed the incident, could not give details about the deceased officer.
