The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has approved the expulsion of the former National Vice Chairman of the party, South-South, Hilliard Eta.

BIGPENNGR.COM reports that the NEC meeting held at the State House with President Buhari, and his vice, Yemi Osinbabo, in attendance, expelled Eta from the party for violating NEC’s instruction.

Eta, who is believed to be a political ally of the former National of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole and deputy president of the senate, Ovie Omo-Agege, had recently dragged the leadership of the party to court seeking to be restated as the acting national chairman of the ruling party.

Oshiomhole on Monday disassociated himself from the suit, saying he was no longer interested to be national chairman of the party again.

The NEC, also granted waiver to those who have joined, or want to join the APC, and dissolution of party structures at polling unit, ward, local government, zonal, state levels, with members of the dissolved executive to serve as caretaker members, Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President, said in a statement.
