  • President Buhari jacks up police salary

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved a new salary increment for men and officers of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

BIGPENNGR.COM reports the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, announced the approval while on official visit to the Ogun State Police Command, on Thursday, November 26, 2020.
According to him, the new police salary increment cuts across all ranks of the force.

The IGP had visited Ogun State Police Command as part of his nationwide efforts to boost the morale of police officers after the attack on them during the recent #EndSARS protests in October.

While addressing officers of the command, the police boss urged the police officers not to be demoralised by the attacks suffered during the protest.

The Nigeria Police boss charged them not to be afraid of carrying out their duties as a result of the criticisms against them, saying no society survives without the police.

The Police chief revealed that the President Muhammadu Buhari administration has taken various steps to reform the Nigerian police.
