I Worked Hard, Am Not A Privileged Young Woman – NIPOST’s Boss Replies FIRS

The Chairman of the Nigeria Postal Service, Maimuna Abubakar, has replied the Director Communication and Liaison of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Abdullahi Ismaila Ahmad who described her in an official statement as “a privileged young lady who happened to be appointed to high office”.
FIRS’s Ahmad made the description while responding to Ms Abubakar claims that FIRS stolen NIPOST’s mandate on stamp duty revenue collection on behalf of the federal government.
“It is therefore shocking to us at the FIRS that such a privileged young lady who happened to be appointed to high office would throw all caution to the air to cast aspersions on reputable public institutions like the National Assembly and the FIRS, which she accused of stealing NIPOST idea. This, to say the least, is a preposterous claim and great disservice to the government and people of Nigeria”, FIRS tweeted from its official twitter handle on Tuesday, August 4.
BIGPEN reports there have been wide ranged negative reactions against FIRS on the social media particularly on twitter over the stamp duty saga after the official comment by the FIRS image maker.
Responding to the diatribe, the NIPOST chairman said that against impression being canvassed in a attempt to suppress her, it was never a “privilege” for her to attain her current role because, according to her, she work hard to earn it.
