Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, on Saturday, says God has not abandoned humanity despite the fact that the world is presently challenged by the outbreak of coronavirus disease otherwise known as Covid-19.

Elumelu said that at Easter, “we are certain that all hope is not lost. We must therefore strive to use the period for sober reflection and prayers for the nation and humanity”, he said

This was contained in his Easter goodwill message to Nigerians, stressing that the coming of Easter, the triumph of life over death, at the time the whole world is being ravaged by the deadly COVID-19 pandemic, is a divine pointer that God has not abandoned humanity.

He called on Nigerians to use the Easter celebration to pray for the nation as well as rekindle their hope and trust in the supremacy of God to deliver the nation and humanity from prevailing challenges of life.

Elumelu further stressed that the “crucifixion and triumphant resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead offer us heavenly assurance of the triumph of life over death, health over sicknesses, happiness over gloom, hope in despair as well as our healing, deliverance from pestilences and our complete victory over this COVID-19 pandemic

He admonished Nigerians to remain strong in God and his redemptive power to deliver mankind as manifested in Christ’s triumph over dead at Easter.
