Delta At 28: Deputy Speaker, Ochor Hails Deltans

The Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Christopher Ochor Ochor has congratulated the government and people of Delta State as the state celebrates 28 years anniversary of its creation.
Ochor, in a statement on Monday said that Delta state has achieved alot despite the various ethnic conflicts that assailed its social economic growth and development.
He said the government at various times had been able to pull all stakeholders with their political differences together, and this had helped in the development of the state.
The Deputy Speaker, prayed for a more united and economic viable state under Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, whilst he sue for support of all Deltans for the success of the administration.
“Today, (Tuesday) August 27, 2019, our state, Delta marks 28 years of existence, and as we know, at the beginning, it was a tough one, we experienced crises at different levels and loss of trust, and at a time lives of many Deltans, young and olds. It was a period of dark history of our existence as a people.
“However, we have overcome that era, and we are now in the new era of hope, and social economic development of our dear state to achieve its goals, and that can be seen in the economic and social policies of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, under the able leadership of Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, in the new mantra of a Stronger Delta.
“Let us therefore, as we celebrate join hands with the government to permanently place the state among committee of states that have a strong social and economic base. A state which we all will be proud of”, he stated.
