The Delta State All Progressive Congress,  APC Campaign Council has explained why President Muhammadu Buhari should be reelected for a second term.

This was contained in a press briefing statement by the spokesperson of the presidential campaign council in Delta State, Dr Cairo Ojougboh while welcoming Mr President to Warri for the flag off of the party presidential and governorship campaign.

According to Ojougboh, the people of Delta State will have the privilege to receive the President and commander in Chief of the armed forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari GCFR on Thursday 17th January 2019 in Warri Delta State.

The members of APC in Delta State led by the Gubernatorial Candidate Chief Great Ogboru and State Chairman of the party Prophet Jones Erue are delighted to have the President visit and address the good people of Delta State, he said.

Ojougboh said that the visit is to advance and present reasons why Deltans should join the mainstream and not remain in the opposition.

He said that the need to flush out the decadent PDP Government in Delta State can not be over emphasized.

The statement reads in part: “This visit is coming at a time when Deltians are praying for the messiah to rescue its citizens from the clutches of corruption, inefficiency, thievery, violence and unimaginable scale of deceit by a gang of thieves and masquerading as politicians.

It is obvious that the APC will sweep the polls in the Presidential elections and the State elections in Delta State come February 2019.

Off course, in the last three and half years of the Buhari’s administration we have seen the war against corruption as we have never seen before.

The international community and in deed all Nigerians have attested this feat. We encourage and urge Mr. President to continue this war as corruption will kill Nigeria if we do not kill corruption.

Any attempt to bring PDP back will be crowning and glorifying corruption and God forbids this.

The rail network in Nigeria will be the best in Africa in the next 2 years and we must therefore have Mr. President continue in office.

Our son was President for 6 years and we had nothing to show for it in the South-South.

Today President Buhari has built the road to Otueke and is about completing the East West Road. The Ewu-Agbor-Sapale Express way is 40% completed and numerous Federal Government initiatives are all on going in Delta State.

The 133 KVA Benin Agbor Asaba substation and transmission lines is already commissioned and running. For the 1st time in the history of Nigeria we achieved 7000 megawatts of Electricity.

The fight against insecurity is being fought with renewed vigor and the remains of Boko Haram and other evil organizations created by the PDP will be totally eliminated within the next Six months.

Delta State has benefitted immensely from the social programmes of this administration including the N-Power, the Anchor Borrower Program, the traders money and our sons and daughters including the Governor of the Central Bank, the minister of Sate Petroleum, the SSA social media and so many others are serving in this Government.

We therefore call on Deltans to come out enmass to behold and own this Party the APC that has done so much for us.

The Delta APC shall tomorrow (today) demonstrate the power and unity never known before in the history of the Party in Delta State”.
