JUST IN: Nwaoboshi, Manager, Oboro Win PDP Senate Ticket In Delta

The trio of Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, James Manager and Evenly Oboro have picked the tickets of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to contest for the Delta North, Delta South and Delta Central senatorial seat respectively in the forthcoming general elections.
BigPen Online reports that Nwaoboshi who scored 506 votes emerged winner after defeating his closest rival, Prince Ned Nwoko who got 453 to come second and Paul Osaji who polled 216 votes.
In Delta south senatorial district contest, incumbent senator James Manager narrowly escaped with 553 votes to beat his main challenger, incumbent member representing Warri North in the state Assembly, Hon Michael Diden (popularly known as Ejele) who scored 490 votes to beat onetime Assembly Speaker, Hon JFK Omatsone who 3 votes.
Also, in Delta central senatorial district, incumbent member representing Ovwie/Okpe/Sapele Federal Constituency, Hon Evelyn Omavowan Oboro defeated her arch-rival, Senator Ighoyota Amori with 586 votes to 486 votes.
The primary elections held at separate locations in the state were adjudged as free, fair, peaceful and orderly.
