Onowakpo Meets Oshiomhole After Defection To APC

Coordinator of Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), for Delta, Edo and Rivers States, Mr. Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, Tuesday night met National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) after his official defection to the party in his country home Emede, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta state.
Onowakpo said that the meeting was to intimate the APC national chairman of his defection from PDP to APC and his ambition to represent his Isoko people in the House of Representative come 2019.
Among issues discussed during the meeting was the unabated crisis rocking the APC in Delta state which was coincidentally settled that same night by Oshiomhole in Abuja after meeting with leaders of the various factions of the party in the state.
His word; “Last night, (Tuesday) I had an extensive meeting with the National Chairman of All Progressive Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
“Firstly, to formally inform him that I am now a card carrying member of the APC.
“Secondly, to intimate him of my desire to contest for the House of Representatives, representing Isoko Federal Constituency in 2019.
“Other issues on how to find a lasting solution to the lingering crisis in the State chapter were also discussed.
“His Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, Chief Ayiri Emami, Arch. Ambby Okuhor, Chief Adolor Okotie-Eboh and a host of other chieftains of the party were present”.
