Oshiomhole was later spirited away by security agents who shielded him to another seat when the invaders started hurling clubs on them.

Few minute later, the Omo-Agege faction resurfaced and sacked the Emerhor faction, attacking the group in same manner. They then sat on the stand after the commotion that set in had died down.

Emerhor and other leaders of his faction were later sighted at Ekiti state stand which was closed to Edo stand whose delegates also fled when the ugly incident started.

The discrepancies between the Omo-Agege and Emerhor faction of the party started at the accreditation venue where reports say Omo-Agege had used his position as Secretary of the Convention Committee to shut out Emerhor and his delegates from accreditation.

Report says Omo-Agege had prevented the Emerhor’s camp which has Chief Hyacinth Enuha, Hon. Victor Ochei, Dr. Caro Ojougboh and others from getting accreditation but they vehemently resisted the move, thus resulting to the first clash by the delegates loyal to the trio.

The Emerhor faction had alleged that Omo-Agege supplanted the delegates list with people loyal to him, thus leaving Emerhor and others stranded at the accreditation centre.

As if that was not enough the Omo-Agege group allegedly induced security agents to teargassed Emerhor and his delegates and supporters, a situation which caused the first skirmishes at the accreditation venue where many were injured.

Reports say for reasons yet to be fathom, some young men suspected to be Fulani militia hijacked the chaotic situation and started macheting anyone on sight, but mostly wounded where those from Emerhor camp who had severe injuries and were rushed to Gariki hospital.

The delegates again clashed at the Eagle square after they had wiggled themselves in. The Emerhor’s faction, this time reenforced in a bid to sack the Omo-Agege faction that have already occupied the Delta stand at the pavilion.

It was in an attempt to dislodged the Omo-Agege faction that the free for all fight broke out forcing many important dignitaries of the party who were seated in the Delta/Edo stand including newly elected National chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to fled their seat.

Chief Great Ogboru, AVM Ajobena, Sen Ovie Omo-Agege, O’tega Emerhor, Victor Ochei, Comrade Sunny Ofehe, Frank Kokori, Dr. Ibe Kachukwu also fled for cover when the fight broke out.
