Comrade Precious Nwadike, Senatorial hopeful for Imo West senatorial district who has been on a consultation visits to Lagos, Abuja and other cities of Nigeria, on Monday said his first priority when elected into the red chamber is to solve the Umuna/Orlu erosion problem.

While taking questions from one of the participants at a town hall meeting with Orlu indigenes in Lagos, Nwadike disclosed that his intentions is to work with relevant government agencies to end the Umuna/Orlu erosion menace which has sent majority of the people in the area packing.

This, he promised to do within one year as a senator.

He said that successive senators from the district have taken the electorates for granted so much that they cared less of their plights but delighted in pursuing contracts using their position to the detriment of the people.

Nwadike, a journalist by profession hinted of how he intend converting the erosion site into tourist attraction centre where not only Imolites will visit especially during festive season but people across the globe as lot of business outfits would be established there to raise revenue for the people, including world class car washing park that would drive revenue for youths in the area.

“As an environment expert, we will bring our knowledge to bear in addressing the ecological problems in the zone. We won’t abandon our legislative duties to be running around for contracts”.

Responding, the group led by Mr Lawrence Anyasoro, a UNZIK trained accountant turned importer commended Nwadike for his decision to represent the zone at the red chambers, describing him as the best among others in the race from the zone.

Meanwhile, Comrade Nwadike is billed to leave Lagos for Abuja Tuesday ahead of the flag off of the social contract deal organized by “Ourmumudondo” movement and slated to hold on Wednesday in Abuja.

Comrade Nwadike is a key player in Ourmumudondo movement and as the Imo State Coordinator of the movement is expected to drive the social contract deal in Imo.

The deal is part of the Charles Oputa alias Charlie Boy led group’s campaign to hold elected leaders accountable to the electorate.

According to the Director general of the OUR ORLU PROJECT team, Comrade Greg Nwadike, the young and vibrant senatorial hopeful will also officially inform Ourmumudondo national leadership of his aspiration to represent the zone at the senate.
