Osinbajo’s Helicopter Breaks Down Midair

Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo’s (SAN), helicopter developed “technical” fault shortly after take off, forcing it to make an emergency landing on Thursday.
The chopper was to conveyed Osinbajo from the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College, Gwagwalada, Abuja to the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Osinbajo’s spokesman Laolu Akande, who confirmed the development on Thursday, said that the Vice President was brought to the ceremony in the same helicopter.
He was at the NCS Command and Staff College for the graduation ceremony of Senior Division Course 1/2018 participants.
On take off after the ceremony, the chopper started emitting thick fumes, forcing it to land shortly after.
Akande, on his Twitter handle: @akandeoj, wrote after the incident: “VP Osinbajo attended the graduation ceremony of Nigeria Customs Senior Course in Gwagwalada today.
