I’m Now A Pensioner Of Delta State Government – Uduaghan

Former Governor of Delta state, and senatorial hopeful, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan has said that he is now a pensioner of Delta state government after serving eight years tenure as governor.
Uduaghan stated this during the Public Lecture/Book Presentation in honour of Deputy Governor of Delta state, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro at KFT Centre, Warri, the commercial nerve centre of the state.
The event was packaged by Society for Peace Studies and Practice, Nigeria, South South Zone in honour of Otuaro on his 50th birthday.
While presenting the book entitled; “Governance, Security and Peace Building In The Niger Delta”, Uduaghan said that he will do his “widows mite” as a pensioner of the state government in the book launch.
“As a pensioner of the Delta state government, I will do my widow’s mite in this book launch. I will launch the book as a pensioner”, he declares, thus setting the ball rolling for other dignitaries at the event.
He, however described the celebrant, Otuaro who served under him in various capacity as DESOPADEC Commissioner and also Special Assistant, as a dedicated and strong party faithful.
According to him, Otuaro played a key role in engendering peace in Warri and Niger Delta region through the Federated Niger Delta Ijaw Communities, (FNDIC).
He said that all through the time Otuaro served, he had always played key role in peace and conflict resolution, saying he became endeared to him when he meticulously handled the humanitarian crisis arising from the Internally Displayed Persons flood crisis in the Warri axis of state during his administration.
