Niger Delta activist, Barr. Innocent Adjenughure has raised concern over the capacity of President Muhammadu Buhari to continue to lead, maintaining that recently developments show that Mr President is not in charge of the Government.

He spoke on the backdrop of release of list of people appointed into federal boards and parastatals which contained eight dead men by the Secretary to Federal Government, Boss Mustapha.

The activist said that the development only show the “incompetence” and “cluelessness” of President Buhari’s administration, describing the situation as abysmal failure of an administration that have lost touch with its citizens.

Adjenughure said that release of the names of the appointees without verification clearly shows that President Buhari is not in charge of the Government, stressing that the cabal in the presidency were in full control and had messed up Mr. President.

Adjenughure noted that most of the names in the list are old people that ought not to be there at all, pointing out that the development also shows that Buhari is not ready to carry the youths along.

“They don’t want to be partial. So, they want to carry our ancestors along. That is why they brought in dead men to be part of the list.

“Lets face the fact. President Buhari does not know what goes on in this administration.
I remember when they said Babachir Lawal has been removed by the Presidency, the man asked, Who is the Presidency? The cabal do what they like and they are messing up President Muhammadu Buhari.”

Addressing newsmen in Warri on Wednesday, Adjenughure, who is the Chairman of Ekpan Development Committee, however noted that youths were taking over leadership position in countries like Austria and France, but Nigerian youths are waiting for the old ones to handover power to them.

Admonishing the youths to fight for their destiny, Adjenughure said: “You fight for power. No person will handover power to you.  You must fight to get it. What I mean fight is not to carry gun or the rest. The youths must mobilize themselves. They have the population. They should rally themselves together and pick out somebody, form a party. They don’t need money because these old men will still use the youths during elections.”

“There are 67 parties in Nigeria today. So, if the youths can look for one of the parties, take over the party, gather around that party, let me tell you APC and PDP will be forgotten in this country.”

Adjenughure noted that it will be difficult for the Nigerian youths to hijack the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) or the All Progressives Congress, (APC) from the old ones.

“There seem to be no direction as to where this Government is going. I have not seen any economic policy direction or national policy direction so that we know that these are the plans of this administration.

“Fighting corruption is not the solution to the myriads of Nigeria’s problems. Nigeria’s problems is lawlessness. Corruption is is an aspect of lawlessness and due process.
President Muhammadu Buhari’s Federal Government does not respect  rule of law or due process.”

While noting that the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan was accused of Corruption, Adjenughure opined that if Dr. Jonathan had been left with his economic policies he pursued, Nigeria would have been far better than what it is today.

“Nigeria would have been far,far better. You have YouWin under him. You have Gimfix to fight corruption. Most of the policies they have today, TSA, BVN were ideas of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.

“Arresting a man and parade him on TV for a crime he has not been convicted is worse than killing a human being. Because, after that man even is set free, people will say he has bribed the judiciary. We don’t need to parade all these people on TV or pages of newspapers. You don’t fight corruption on the pages of newspaper. Fight corruption thoroughly through the court system. Follow due process, follow rule of law. Then, I will say you have tried.”
