Ibori Cynosure Of All Eyes As He Visits Govt House Asaba First Time Since His Return From UK

Chief James Onanefe Ibori was the cynosure of all eyes, at Government House Asaba,  where he once held sway as executive governor.

The presence of Ibori electrified everywhere as he was conducted round the new Government House where he was joined by Rivers State Governor, Barr. Nyesom Wike who was also on working visit to the state.

Ibori was on everyone’s lips as he was ushered to the state House from where the duo joined the state governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa to commission some projects within Asaba metropolis, a source told BigPen Online.

The former governor ruled the state between May 1999 and May 2007 was invited as guest of honour in the two-days YAGEP and STEEP Exhibition holding at the state capital.

At the venue of the YAGEP and STEEP Exhibition, Ibori was said to have ignited the atmosphere when he once again expressed overwhelming support for the second tenure of Okowa.

“Your Excellency the Governor of Delta State  (Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa), my job is very simple. I will continue to pray for you and your administration because of your tremendous achievements so far.

“I am particularly happy that you focused on providing jobs for our youth. When you and I must have gone, they are the ones that will be here to take over from us. They are certainly the leaders of tomorrow.

“I deeply appreciate your administration’s huge investments in our youth, which is why I am here today to give you my support and to say that you have truly done well, Ibori was quoted to have said.

YAGEP and STEEP programmes are Governor Okowa’s star projects designed primarily to create wealth among youths and young entrepreneurs in the state, hence the reported huge investment on the project.
