Reps Minority Leader, Ogor Hails Secondus Over His Emergence As PDP National Chairman

Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Leo Ogor has congratulated newly elected National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus on his victory in the just concluded National Elective Convention of the party.

Ogor, in a statement by his Press Secretary, Akpodhoma Michael said that he was particularly thrilled by Secondus’s agenda to rebuild, reposition and regain power for the PDP come 2019.

The statement read in full: “On behalf of the good people of Isoko federal constituency and my colleagues in the House of Representatives, I congratulate you our newly elected National Chairman of PDP, Prince Uche Secondus and the entire new national executive of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on your impressive victory during the just concluded Elective National Convention in Abuja.

“I am delighted that you were elected as the chairman of our party, I strongly believe you will continue to work for the good of the people of our party and our great country Nigeria as you perform the duties of the National Chairman of the PDP.

“I sincerely congratulate you, the entire executives that became victorious and send my best wishes for your every success and wisdom in discharging the important and responsible duties of your position.

“I am confident that the trust placed in you by the delegates of our great party will inspire you to continue important efforts in promoting the unity of our party, leading it on the path of prosperity, further well-being and success for our people during the 2019 general election.

“I am very pleased that our party and members are becoming increasingly close partners and am particularly glad that you have chosen to rebuild, reposition and regain power for our great party. I firmly believe that our party will continue to increase in numbers as we expect more of our previous members coming back to our dynamic party.

Meanwhile, Ogor has commended the outgone National Caretaker Committee chairman, Senator Ahmed Makarfi and the National Convention Planning Committee led by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State for having led the party well through the turbulent times and for organising a transparent, successful and hitch-free convention.
