Two Armed Robbery Suspects Nabbed, Local Pistol Recovered In Delta Community
The Police in Ebrumede Division in conjunction with the Ebrumede Vigilante have arrested two suspected armed robbers, Urhurhue Emuobosa aka Sky Dee and Ilaya Vote as well as recovered one locally made pistol from them in Idumore village in Alaka, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.
It was gathered that the suspects who belonged to a four man robbery gang allegedly attacked and robbed a commercial tricycle operator, Forgive Ighaeowhoma of Okuokoko and dispossed him of his tricycle with registration number UMU003QA when he stopped to carry passengers along the PTI Road by Alegbor Junction at about 10pm on November 3.
The suspects also robbed the tricycle operator of his mobile and unspecified amount of money.
The incident was quickly reported at the Ebrumede Police Station who immediately swung into action.
It was also gathered that the suspects were arrested by a Patrol team from the Ebrumede Division with the help of the Vigilante and some youths tracked them down at about 12midnight same day.
The suspects gave useful information which led to the recovery of the Keke at Otokutu village in Ughelli South Local Government Area.
The Ebrumede Divisional Police Officer,CSP Mohammed Shauibu declined comments on the matter asking Our Correspondent to speak with the PPRO.
However, Police Source who craved anonymity disclosed that due to severe beating and injuries suffered in the hands of youths, Sky Dee was rushed to the hospital for treatment where he later gave up the ghost.
