The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), has redeployed its Ag. Director of Administration and Supplies, Mr. Vincent Owan to head the Department of Planning, Research and Forecasting. The agency in an effort to reposition for service efficiency, also moved the Director Planning Research and Forecasting, Dr Zannah Muhammad to Department of Administration and Supplies. Other staff who were moved include the Head of Abuja Operation Office Mr. Ishaya Isah Chonoko to North West Zonal Office, Kaduna as a new Zonal Coordinator. The new head for Gombe Operation Office is Mr. Abbani Imam Garki from the NEMA headquarters and Mr. Bashir Idris Garga also from headquarters is to head Yola Operation Office. The Department of State Services (DSS) has said it would deal ruthlessly with warmongers and those causing unnecessary tension by hate preaching in the country. The agency said that at the appropriate time all those involved in these condemnable acts will be unmasked and decisively dealt with in line with the laws of the land. It condemns in its entirety the call for relocation of anyone to places against their wishes, saying that such relocation order is not only illegal, but against the country's Constitution which allows for freedom for citizens. (BigPen, Rotterdam) The Delta State House of Assembly has approved the loan request of N1 billion (One Billion Naira) for the Delta State Government to enable it access the Universal Basic Education Fund. The N1billion naira is the 50% counter-part contribution of Delta State Government required to access the N2 Billion naira fund provided by the Federal Government for the development of Basic Education in the country. Speaker, Rt. Hon.
