Ofehe: I Don’t Regret My Choice Of APC, Announces Official Declaration Date

Frontline governorship hopeful in Delta state, Comrade Sunny Ofehe has said he doesn’t regret belonging to the ruling All Progressive Congress, (APC).

Ofehe stated this on Wednesday while officially announcing a date for the declaration of his governorship ambition.

The environmental rights activist, recalls how the journey to the 2019 race started, saying, “The call to run for public office came from several people during the funeral of my late mother in February, 2017”.

According to him, “After due consideration and discussions with family members and close friends, I decided in May, 2017 to run for the Governorship position of Delta State.

He said that before joining the race, he made wide consultation internationally and locally including reaching out to the grassroot people, adding however that people had initially doubted his ambition.

“I began extensive consultation internationally, nationally and at State level. I met several people who gave meaningful advice and some who doubted my seriousness. Some people even claim that I was out to make money with my ambition and that I wasn’t serious.

“In August, 2017 I decided to join the Nigerian National ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and pursue my Governorship ambition. I began consultation with top party elders, leaders, women and youths both at National, State and local level. Today I have not regretted my choice of political party!

“I am happy to announce to the world that I Comrade Sunny Ofehe will officially Declare to run as the next Governor of Delta State, Nigeria on Saturday 7th July, 2018 in Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State. Starting from 11:00 – 16:00 HRS.

“I want to cordially invite all lovers of Democracy, believers and supporters of the Fix Delta Movement to this great and historic occasion. My plans, vision and policies for Delta State will be outline on that day.

“This is the time for us to come together as a people and be part of this noble course as we take a giant stride to Fix Delta State. I will need your total support and commitment. This is no time to claim involvement without any practical role, you must take the step that brings us to our collective goal; Victory at the Polls!”.
