Isoko North Boss Disbands Unauthorized Security Outfits with Immediate Effect, Directs all Former Vigilante Members to Submit Uniforms, Gadgets to Nearest Police Station

Chairman Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Godwin Ogorugba has disbanded with immediate effect, all unauthorized and illegal security outfits or groups operating in any disguise within the local government.

The chairman, also directed all former vigilante members across communities in Isoko North to summit uniforms and others security gadgets in their possession to the nearest police station.

Ogorugba who gave the directive Tuesday while addressing Journalists immediately after the monthly Peace and Security committee meeting with traditional rulers and heads of all security agencies in his office, Ozoro, called for synergy among security agencies operating within the council Area.

The council chairman noted that security is everybody business and for effective and efficient security coverage, all security agencies must work together as a team, especially in intelligent information gathering.

According to the council Boss, the Isoko North peace and security committee meeting however resolved as follows;

“That all former vigilantee members across the communities in Isoko North should summit their uniforms and others security gadgets to the nearest police station. That all unauthorized and illegal security outfits or groups operating in any disguise within the local government have been disbanded with immediate effect.

“That no vigilante group is allowed to block any road without the presence of police officer among them. That all landlords who have not profiles their tenants will be held accountable. Communities should desist from erecting speed breakers on government roads except with the ministry of works approval.”

Ogorugba thanked all community leaders and security agencies for their sacrifices in ensuring lasting peace and unity in Isoko North, saying his administration is committed in consolidating the Renewed Hope for MORE Agenda of President Bola Tinubu and governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State which can only be achieved in the atmosphere of peace and unity.
