JUST IN: 4 Killed In Fatal Accident Involving Adamawa Governor’s Convoy

Four people are said to have died in a horrific accident involving a Toyota Hilux carrying a vigilante detachment that was travelling with the governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Fintiri, to Mubi for a campaign event.

The RAMP 2 Toyota Hilux van used by the Head of Fintiri’s vigilante was involved in the accident that happened near Fadamareke in Hong Local Government, which was allegedly caused by speeding up while navigating a risky bend.

Three dead bodies from the van’s passengers, including Bako Kaura, the head of the PDP’s unofficial security unit, and another victim identified as Adamu, Kaura’s biological son, have been brought to the mortuary of the Hong Federal Medical Centre.

Five additional van occupants with varying degrees of injuries were transported to a medical facility for treatment in an unmarked Hilux van and a government-house ambulance.

Dr. William Teri, Governor Fintiri’s personal doctor and director of the government house clinic, transported the accident victims to a hospital for treatment and was one of the first people on the scene.

However, a source who assisted in the evacuation and rescue effort at the scene of the accident stated, “I took out three dead bodies, but there’s a fourth that I think can hardly make it out of coma because of the injury he sustained.”

“The Ramp 2 Hilux van that the leader of the Fintiri/Farauta campaign was travelling in held about nine passengers at the time of the accident.”

Governor Fintiri was troubled by the tragic death that involved his convoy and who also assisted in organising rescue efforts.

Governor Fintiri nearly died by the whispers just last week when a truck that veered off the road almost hit his stopped motorcade.

Unfortunately, two of the convoy’s vehicles weren’t as fortunate because the truck ploughed into them.

The governor had gone to the eminent Dougirei Hilltop Agga Mosque to attend a wedding engagement when the incident took place there.

Two police officers who sustained various degrees of injuries in the collision were taken to the state specialist hospital’s intensive care unit.
