Okowa Blew Anioma’s Chance At Quality Leadership, Says Delta APC, Bemoans Lack Of Development In Delta North

The All Progressive Congress (APC) has bemoaned the lack of infrastructure and development in Delta state’s Anioma nation.

Elder Omeni Sobotie, the State Party Chairman, made this proclamation at Nsukwa, Aniocha South LGA of Delta State, during the ongoing APC ward to ward campaigns for the 2023 general elections.

“It is a shame that in 2015, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa came in the name of Anioma and having been given that opportunity, he wickedly punished the Anioma people by taking every development project to his hometown, Owa-Alero, at the expense of others.

*But don’t worry, his days are numbered, we have a good product that is very easy to market, and they have a product that is still looking for his classmates.”

In a similar vein, Nobert Sochokwudima, the Aniocha South APC Chairman, lamented that the Nsukwa clan had not had access to potable water, roads, or electricity for the past 24 years and expressed hope that the difficulties would be resolved with Senator Ovie Omo-Agege as governor.

There is no reason why the Anioma people shouldn’t enjoy what Okowa’s relatives in Owa-Alero enjoy, according to Senator Omo-Agege, the APC candidate for governor in Delta State.

“That selfishness, that wickedness, that punishment, and that despair he imposed on our people in Anioma must end. With all the revenue receipts and loans he took, amounting to over N3.5 trillion, Okowa criminally neglected the infrastructure development of this area. The way to stop this evil is to get rid of Okowa and his stooge, Sheriff Oborevwori, as well as all the PDP candidates at the polls for failing to look Okowa in the eye to attract development projects to their areas.

“It is time to tell them to pack up and go, to tell Okowa that his ill-fated vice presidential ambition has crashed, and that his stooge Oborevwori cannot be governor.”

He assured that when elected, he would ensure that the challenges enumerated by the people of Nsukwa are addressed.

“If you vote for us we will bring real prosperity to you, not the one of the “Judas Iscariot” of the South-South.” he said.

Obi Ezegbunem, the traditional head of the Nsukwa clan, expressed his confidence in Omo-Agege’s ability to win the position of governor of Delta State by asserting that “what God cannot do, does not exist.”

Ovie Omo-Agege and his running mate, Hon. Friday Osanebi, received the chieftaincy titles of Ezinabeni and Ikemba of the Nsukwa clan, respectively, from the Obi.

The people of Ogwashi-Uku, according to Pastor Polycarp Kachikwu, the deputy coordinator of the APC campaigns in Aniocha South, are going to vote out the PDP because they are upset, denigrated, neglected, and punished by Okowa for no reason, and “so we don’t want to hear Ego-aria again.”

Pastor Kachikwu presented a traditional mantle of power on behalf of the Ogwashi-Uku people in order to “help Senator Omo-Agege to cross over every hurdle and win the election.”

Speaking at Ubulu-Uku, Senator Omo-Agege observed that despite the presence of notable figures from the community in the Okowa administration, the community still exuded an air of abandonment, neglect, and hopelessness. “To free Ubulu-Uku, Anioma, and Delta State from Okowa and his allies’ control, we must band together,”  he added.

The governorship candidate was quoted in a statement by Ima Niboro, Director, Communications and Media Strategy, Delta APC Campaign Council as saying; “When elected, we will bring water, power and the basic amenities to this land. We will tackle the challenge of unemployment, we will tackle insecurity, we will tackle social challenges, and we will bring back hope to the people.”
