Mr Mohammed Sodipo, Chairman, NBA, Badagry Chapter, said the donation was part of activities marking the association’s 2021 Annual Law Week.

“This is the beginning of good relationship with the management of the hospital and we are happy to see improvements under new management of the hospital,” he said.

Receiving the donation, Dr Babatunde Bakare, Medical Director of the hospital, thanked the lawyers for donating PPE to the hospital.

He said the hospital had improved its services to people seeking medical attention at the facility.

“We are following our service delivery manual and we’ve changed our attitude as we are care givers.

“If there is any cause for you to complain, please do so and we will surely adjust,” he said.

The members of the association took a tour round the Maternal and Child Centre (MCC) building during the visit.

The association also reached out to the Badagry Medium Custodian Centre, where food items such as rice, noodles, soap and detergents were donated to the inmates..

Welcoming the NBA team, Mr Richard Sanni, Assistant Controller of the Correctional Centre, appreciated the association for visiting the correctional centre.

He urged the lawyers to assist inmates with trivial offences to get justice in order to de-congest the facility.

Responding, the NBA chairman urged officials of the correctional centre to provide his members with list of inmates requiring legal support.

The correctional centre officials later provided the association with a list of 44 inmates requiring legal assistance.
