Tension As Explosions Rock Military Barracks In Niger Delta

There is palpable tension in some part of Niger Delta as suspected explosions have been reported at Ebrutu Army barracks in Calabar, Cross River State capital.

Though the cause of the explosions remained unknown, report says the development is causing palpable apprehension in the state.

It was learnt the blast affected lots of buildings and military equipments in the barrack.

A resident who spoke to newsmen, according to Vanguard report, said several buildings in the military estate were affected.

“The last one happened some two hours ago and I have pictures of roofs shattered by the explosions. Nobody has told us what happened”.

Captain Aluko, the Army Public Relations Officer for Cross River State did not pick calls made to her GSM line.
