96 Test Negative For Coronavirus In Bauchi, 3 Positive – Gov’s Chief Of Staff

Out of the ninety-nine persons placed on quarantine in Bauchi state for suspected coronavirus infection, only three has been confirmed positive to having contracted the virus, Ladan Salihu, Chief of Staff to Bauchi state Governor has said.

Salihu who had earlier erroneously put the cases of COVID-19 positive in the state at 96, in his verified twitter handle, said it was a typographical error, saying only 3 has tested positive to the virus in the state.

“I deleted my earlier tweet on Corona 3rd index case discovered in Bauchi State due to an error on my part. The figures read ‘96 positive and 3 Positive’. The correct numbers are: 96 negative and 3 positive. 99 in all. I regret and apologize for the error pls”.

Recalls that the state Governor, Bala Mohammed had tested positive to Coronavirus infection after he came in contact with one of the sons of former vice president, Atiku Abubakar who had tested positive to the virus.

The governor took the test after he went into isolation alongside six others including his family members and aides who accompanied him to Lagos.
