Delta Stops Sales Of Mobile Advert Permits By Unauthorized Agents, Appoints New Consultancy Firms

The Delta State Government has appointed new consultants, Messrs Gehobless Nigeria Enterprises and HASCKEF GEE Nigeria Limited as the agent for the collection of mobile sales/advert operational permits for the year 2019 in the State.

The state government says by the appointment, all unauthorized sales of advert operational permits for vehicles particularly owners of Commercial and Company vehicles in Delta State are prohibited.

Delta State Signage and Advertisement Agency (DESAA) says henceforth the consultancy firm would carry out the function on its behalf.

This was contained in a statement obtained by BIGPEN ONLINE on Saturday signed by Mr. Paul Osahor, Director of Information, Delta state Ministry of Information.

The statement read in parts: “For the avoidance of doubt, by these appointments, all sales of mobile adverts permits by unauthorized persons are hereby outlawed and any person or group of persons found in the production and sale of mobile advert permits will be visited with the full weight of the law. However, religious organisations are exempted from paying for mobile advertisements on their vehicles.

“Similarly, DESAA wishes to inform the general public that the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Delta State Chapter has also approved that DESAA’s approved consultants, HASCKEF GEE Nigeria Limited, carry out the sale of all mobile stickers emblem, loading offloading, sales/supply permit, Liquor Mineral Water, Refuse Waste, Sanitation, Motor Park Permits and all other stickers that falls within the jurisdiction of local government councils by the 1999 Constitution as amended on Levies and Taxes Act.

“Accordingly, the general public is by this announcement advised to obtain their mobile advertisement permits and all mobile stickers, emblem, loading offloading, sales/supply permit, Liquor Mineral Water, Refuse Waste, Sanitation, Motor Park Permit and all other stickers which are currently on sale from the above listed representatives of DESAA in the State as failure to obtain permits for their business vehicles will not be entertained.

“It should be noted that the strict enforcement on compliance will commence on Monday the March 25, 2019 and any defaulting vehicle will be impounded until payments are made”, the statement further read.
