Delta APC Reps Candidate, Onowakpo Appoints Fmr Daily Times Editor, Araka As Campaign Council Chair

Thomas Joel-Onowakpo, an All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives candidate in Delta state, has appointed seasoned journalist and a former Editor of Daily Times, Mr. John Araka as chairman of his campaign council.
Onowakpo, who is gunning for the Isoko Federal Constituency seat in the 2019 general election, also named Hon. (Barr). Silas Buowe, former member of the Delta State House of Assembly, representing Isoko South Constituency II ( 2003 – 2007), as Director General of the Campaign committee.
Other members of the campaign council and campaign committee will be made public in the next 7days, a statement obtained by BigPen Online on Wednesday said.
The statement said that both appointments take immediate effect.
Onowakpo, a former Delta State Board of Internal Revenue Chairman is a frontline APC candidate in the Isoko Federal Constituency race.
He resigned his appointment as Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), coordinator in charge of Delta, Edo and Rivers states, to join the race and since then have been waxing strong among his constituents as next lawmaker to represent Isoko people in the lower chamber.
