NYSC Sets September 8 for Physical Verification of Foreign-Trained Graduates

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced a five-day physical verification exercise for foreign trained Nigerian graduates ahead of the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream I mobilisation.

The exercise is scheduled to hold from September 8 to 12 2026, for prospective corps members whose academic credentials and travel documents are yet to be physically verified.

The verification will be conducted at nine designated centres across the country located in Enugu, Bauchi, the Federal Capital Territory, Kano, Lagos, Osun, Rivers, Sokoto and Adamawa.

The NYSC directed affected prospective corps members to appear at their designated centres according to the date, time and venue stated on their verification slips.

Candidates are required to present the original copies of their academic credentials and relevant travel documents submitted during the online registration process.

The scheme also stated that foreign-trained graduates in professional fields must provide additional documents where applicable. Medical graduates for instance are expected to present relevant professional licences and registration certificates.

The NYSC further directed affected graduates to submit their original Federal Ministry of Education Evaluation Letters at its headquarters in Abuja and upload acknowledged copies online.

The scheme warned that only prospective corps members who are physically present, verified and cleared will be considered for deployment, exemption or exclusion from national service.

The exercise forms part of the NYSC credential verification process for Nigerian graduates who obtained their qualifications outside the country before their participation in the national service programme.

The NYSC urged all affected prospective corps members to comply with the requirements and report to their assigned centres with the necessary original documents.
