Ogorugba Receives Owhe Kingdom Leaders, Pledges Stronger Partnership for Development

The Executive Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. (Elder) Prince Godwin Ogorugba, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with traditional institutions and community leaders across the council area.

Ogorugba made the commitment on Saturday when he received the President Generals of Owhe Kingdom, led by Israel Adaigho, at his country home in Otor-Igho, Isoko North.

The meeting formed part of ongoing consultations between the council and community leaders aimed at promoting unity, peace, security and grassroots development.

Receiving the delegation, Ogorugba described Owhe Kingdom as a key stakeholder in the development of Isoko North and assured the community of his administration’s continued open-door policy.

He also pledged to support initiatives that would empower youths, sustain peace and ensure that development reaches communities across the local government, in line with the MORE Agenda of Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.

Ogorugba said the council could not achieve its development goals without the cooperation and support of traditional and community leaders.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Owhe Clan President Generals Forum, Israel Adaigho, commended Ogorugba for what he described as his people-oriented leadership and visible projects across Isoko North, particularly in Owhe Kingdom.

Adaigho pledged the continued support of Owhe Kingdom for the council’s programmes and policies.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for both sides to deliberate on issues affecting the kingdom and explore ways of deepening collaboration for lasting peace, unity and development in Isoko North.
