Dr. Hilary Ibegbelum Celebrates Okowa, Delta’s Political Titan at 67

Dr. Hilary Ibegbelum, Principal Secretary to former Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has paid glowing tribute to the distinguished statesman on the occasion of his 67th birthday.

In a heartfelt message, Dr. Ibegbelum described the former governor as an exceptional leader, patriot, and visionary who has dedicated his life to public service and the progress of Delta State and Nigeria at large.

Felicitating with the former governor, Dr. Ibegbelum highlighted the remarkable journey of the political icon, noting his early service as Secretary to the defunct Ika Local Government Council and his role as the Pioneer Chairman of Ika North East Local Government Council.

According to him, these positions laid the foundation for his enduring legacy of grassroots leadership and developmental vision.

He further commended the former governor’s tenure as Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Commissioner for Water Resources Development, and Commissioner for Health — roles that showcased his administrative prowess and unwavering commitment to improving citizens’ lives.

Dr. Ibegbelum also eulogized the former governor for his erstwhile service as Secretary to the Delta State Government, his tenure as a Senator, and his historic eight-year period as Governor of Delta State — milestones that exemplify his statesmanship, political foresight, and dedication to the growth of his beloved state and Nigeria.

He said currently, the celebration of his leadership continues as he emerges as the All Progressives Congress (APC) Delta North Senatorial Candidate, describing him as a leader who embodies courage, humility, and progressive ideals, inspiring supporters and future leaders alike.

“Today, as the All Progressives Congress (APC) Delta North Senatorial Candidate, you continue to exemplify courageous leadership, humility, and an abiding commitment to the ideals of progressive governance.
