‎Chairman of the Delta State Scholarship and Bursary Board, Dr. Shedrack Agediga, has congratulated Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on his emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections.

‎In a statement issued on Friday in Asaba, Dr. Agediga described the outcome of the APC primary as a strong endorsement of Governor Oborevwori’s leadership, noting that the process reflected the confidence party members have in his administration and vision for Delta State.

‎According to him, the peaceful and orderly conduct of the primary demonstrated unity within the APC and underscored the trust Deltans have continued to place in the governor’s leadership.

‎Agediga praised Oborevwori’s commitment to education, youth development and human capital investment, saying the administration’s policies have positively impacted students and families across the state.

‎He noted that funding and access to scholarships and bursaries have remained a priority under the governor’s administration, helping to reduce financial pressure on families while encouraging academic excellence among Delta students.

‎The board chairman further expressed optimism that Oborevwori’s candidacy would ensure continuity in policies aimed at strengthening education and youth empowerment in the state.

‎“Continuity in leadership ensures that policies supporting education and youth empowerment can be sustained and expanded. The governor’s emergence as the APC candidate provides that stability, and we are optimistic about what the next phase holds for students in Delta State.” he stated

‎He further wished Governor Oborevwori success in the journey toward the 2027 governorship election, expressing confidence that his leadership would continue to advance development across Delta State.
