In a remarkable display of tactical prowess and modern warfare, the Nigerian Army achieved a significant operational victory by rescuing eleven kidnapping victims during a late-night raid on January 26, 2026, along the Kaduna–Abuja Expressway.

The operation underscores the military’s unwavering commitment to combating crime and ensuring national security.

The Nigerian Army disclosed this success via a statement on its official X platform (@HQNigerianArmy).

According to the report, troops from Forward Operating Base (FOB) Doka employed advanced high-definition CCTV surveillance to monitor the Gidan Duna–Amale bush track, where armed terrorists were attempting to move their captives under cover of darkness.

Utilizing this intelligence, the soldiers launched a rapid response using tactical vehicles and motorcycles, engaging the fleeing terrorists in a high-speed chase. The pursuit forced the criminals to abandon their captives and retreat into the surrounding bushland, preventing their escape into the hinterlands.

The operation led to the rescue of five adult males, three adult females, and three children—victims who had been kidnapped from Gada Mallam Maman Community on October 26, 2025—marking the end of 92 days of captivity.
