Isoko North LGA Boss Assures Residents of Sustained Development

The Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Mr. Godwin Ogorugba, has assured the people of Isoko North LGA of taking the council to greater heights.

Ogorugba gave the assurance at the council’s first year thanksgiving and praise service held Wednesday at the council Trinity Chapel, Ozoro.

He disclosed that his administration will continue to take decisions and initiate policies that will benefit all and sundry in all ramifications.

‎According to Ogorugba, his administration has reasons to give God Almighty quality praise and thanksgiving for the peace and numerous achievements throughout the year 2025, pointing out some of his achievements which are but not limited to; newly completed administrative complex, the perimeter fencing of the council secretariat with modern security gate house, newly completed staff clinic, the reconstruction of the council internal roads using asphalt, reconstruction of Etevie community Ozoro asphalt road.

‎Construction of a block of three class rooms with four toilets and water works at Imo primary school Iyede, construction of 15 lockup stores and four toilets, and landscaping at Ofagbe community market, renovation of 54 open store at Otor-Owhe community market, renovation of 52 open stores at Owhelogbo community market, Renovation of 52 open stores at Aradhe community market.

‎Others include; construction of nursing quarters Otor-Igho community, reconstruction of Otor-Igho community town Hall, rehabilitation of water supply scheme at Oteri-Iyede and Otor-Igho community, rehabilitation of Otor-Owhe – Owhelogbo asphalt road, rehabilitation of Otor-Iyede junction asphalt road, rehabilitation of Ozoro Owhelogbo road, construction of three bedroom flats for vice chairman, secretary to the local government, Head of Personnel Management (HPM) and treasurer to the local government (TLG) among others.

While describing all the achievements as “the Lord doing and it’s marvelous in our eyes,” Ogorugba reiterated his administration’s commitment in consolidating the Renewed Hope for MORE Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State by judiciously using the accrued resources of the council, to make the good people of Isoko North to be happy in order to position the local government among the leading councils in the Federal Republic of Nigeria and not to please few individuals.

‎The council chairman appreciated the Isoko North legislative Arm led by Pascal Emeluaha for their cooperation and support for the administration in actualizing results since assumption of office, promising more infrastructural and human capital development for Isoko North people in this year 2026.

‎The chairman prayed for peace and unity in Isoko North and asked God Almighty for divine protection, divine health and, financial breakthrough for all council staff, political appointees, and the entire local government even as he appealed to staff and management of the council to continue to do their best as partners in progress for the good and development of Isoko North.

‎In his sermon, the guest preacher, Bishop Edward Emanuereta emphasized that thanksgiving and praise to God Almighty attracts new dawn blessings as well as opening supernatural doors, hence it’s good for all to always give thanksgiving to God Almighty.

‎Some dignitaries present include, Pascal Emeluaha leader Isoko North legislative Arm, councillors, supervisory councillors, Vote Umukoro secretary Isoko North, aides to the council chairman, Mrs Irene Onwodi HPM, Isoko North, Fejiro Ogbogbo Treasurer Isoko North , Ake Esime, Nulge chairman Isoko North among others.
