15th Police Game Sets to Hold in Asaba as LOC Inspects Sporting Facilities

Preparations are currently at the top gear for the 15th Biennial Police Games (BIPOGA 2026), slated for Asaba, the Delta State capital.

Already the Local Organising Committee (LOC) constituted ahead the forthcoming sporting event, have held a two-day strategic conference from Friday, 16th January to Saturday, 17th January 2026, in Asaba, Delta State.

Arising from the conference, the LOC embarked an inspection tour of sporting facilities designated for the games ahead of the forthcoming Nigeria Police games scheduled to hold from 7th February to 14th February 2026 in Asaba Delta State.

Delta State Police Public Relations Officer SP Bright Edafe, in a statement on Saturday, said that the conference and inspection exercise was led by AIG Fom Pam Joseph, Chairman of the Force Sports Planning Committee.

He said that the conference aimed at fine-tuning operational plans, logistics, and coordination ahead of the commencement of the games.

Edafe said that in attendance at the conference and inspection were senior officers of the Nigeria Police Force, including AIG Suleiman Abdul, CP Dantawaye Miller, CP Hassan Gwani, CP Osifo Emefiele, and the Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Aina Adesola, alongside other senior officers and members of the Local Organising Committee.

He said that during the conference, critical issues bordering on venue readiness, security arrangements, accommodation, transportation, medical services, and general logistics were discussed, with emphasis placed on ensuring a seamless and professionally coordinated sporting event.

Following the conference, the Committee embarked on an inspection tour of the various sporting facilities to be utilised for the games, assessing infrastructure, safety standards, logistics, and overall suitability for athletes and officials expected from police commands and formations across the country.

The Local Organising Committee reaffirmed their commitment to delivering a safe, orderly, and successful sporting festival, assuring participants and members of the public that preparations are progressing steadily.
