Succour came the way of residents of the Durumi Abuja Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camp, on Monday as an international charity organization, Green Circuit Association International, carried out a major outreach, delivering food supplies, medical services, and educational materials to hundreds of displaced families.

The IDP camp

The group distributed relief materials containing rice, beans, cooking oil, hygiene kits, and clothings. A temporary medical station was also set up, offering free consultations and assistance as part of green circuit community outreach programs.

The initiative, organized by the Green circuit association international, brought together volunteers, medical personnel and social workers who spent the day attending to the needs of vulnerable children, nursing mothers, and elderly residents.

Speaking during the event, the International President Comr. Osazu. N. Iguodala, the coordinator of the outreach, emphasized the organization’s commitment in supporting displaced communities anywhere around the globe.

“Many families here have lost their homes, livelihoods and sense of security. Our goal is to remind them that they are not forgotten and to provide the assistance we can”, he said.

Camp residents expressed great gratitude for the gesture, describing it as timely and life-saving.

Alhaja Aisha Malami, the woman leader of the camp, said “the support has given us hope because food has been scarce over the past weeks. This visit means so much to us.”

The camp administrator also praised the charity group and appealed for continued assistance from government agencies and other humanitarian partners to promote green circuit charity initiatives.

As conflict and displacement continue to affect communities in different regions, humanitarian organizations are calling for sustained interventions to ensure that IDPs have access to essential services and long-term support.
