Delta North 2027: APC Ward Chairmen Boost Sen. Ned Nwoko Candidacy

Ward Chairmen of All Progressives Congress (APC) from all 98 wards in Delta North, have expressed commitment to the 2027 Candidacy of Senator Ned Munir Nwoko, representing Delta North senatorial district.

They made the pledge during an enlarged strategic session with the Senator recently.

The meeting, led by Ossai Jude Ossa of Ika North East LGA, marked a renewed commitment to reposition the party’s structures for greater efficiency and electoral relevance.

The engagement served as a vital interface between Senator Nwoko’s political leadership and the foundational pillars of the party across communities.

The atmosphere was charged with optimism as discussions focused on revitalising the APC’s organisational framework, improving internal coordination, and strengthening synergy between the Senator’s legislative agenda and the mobilisation roles of the Ward Chairmen.

In his remarks, Senator Nwoko praised the Chairmen for their steadfastness and loyalty, emphasising that “the ward is the lifeline of political engagement and the first point of contact between the electorate and governance.”

He stressed that no party can thrive without investing strategically in its grassroots leadership.

Highlighting his development priorities for Delta North—ranging from infrastructure and education to youth empowerment and community renewal—Senator Nwoko noted that these initiatives depend heavily on an active, coordinated ward structure capable of engaging communities and articulating their needs.

He reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining open communication channels with the ward leaders, assuring them that the meeting was the beginning of continuous consultations.

Ward Chairmen, in turn, commended Senator Nwoko’s inclusive and responsive leadership style, applauding his recognition of their role as the party’s frontline mobilizers.

They pledged renewed commitment to strengthening APC structures across the district and enhancing unity among members.
