As the 2027 general election approaches, the need for key gladiators in the Delta North Senatorial District to patch things up for an inclusive dialogue ahead of the polls has become necessary.

This is coming as a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Emmanuel Eboh, on Saturday, said it is time for the party’s heavyweights to meet.

Eboh reasoned that it is time for an inclusive dialogue on the political future of Delta North among former governor Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, incumbent Senator Prince Ned Nwoko, former Senator Peter Nwaoboshi and other key Anioma leaders.

Addressing newsmen in Abuja, Chief Eboh said a strategic engagement of the Anioma frontline leaders had become urgent to chart a peaceful and united course for Delta North ahead of 2027.

He disclosed that the “Delta North Senatorial chairman of the APC, Ogbuefi Adizua Eluaka, had, in the last stakeholders meeting, proposed a convergence of the esteemed leaders, including the state deputy governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, to resolve all differences, foster peace, and strengthen the party.”

Chief Eboh noted the assemblage of all the prominent Anioma political leaders in APC and said the gains could only be consolidated through cooperation and collaboration.

The APC stalwart described as “commendable and timely” the recent meeting between Okowa and Nwaoboshi and emphasized that it was a welcome development.

Chief Eboh called for a larger meeting among all the key Delta North political leaders and expressed optimism that such synergy would make the APC more formidable and attractive.

He said Delta North had consistently demonstrated a preeminent and unified front in party politics and electoral success, among other senatorial districts in the state.

Referencing the peace and order that had characterized the democratic experiment in Delta North since 1999, Chief Eboh said the Anioma political leaders have a historic and moral responsibility to unite and work together.
