One Year in Office: Isoko North Chairman Vows to Deliver Lasting Devt, Thanks Gov Oborevwori

The chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Godwin Ogorugba, has said that the people of the local government deserve much more than they have gotten so far.
He also expressed deep gratitude to governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
Ogorugba stated this during a praise and worship as well as special thanksgiving service held at the council’s chapel in Ozoro, as part of events marking his one-year anniversary in office as chairman of Isoko North.
The council chairman while thanking the State governor for what he called, his unwavering support and guidance before and throughout his first year in office, described his emergence and achievements in office as divinely ordained as his journey has been guided by faith and destiny
“I saw the local government secretariat in our neighbouring Ndokwa West and saw a befitting administrative complex. I told myself that Isoko North deserves something even better. The perimeter fencing had lingered for years, but despite the hurdles, our administration was able to start and complete it.
“We are focused on delivering results. I promise to stay the course of development and I want to use this opportunity to call on the people to judge my administration based on performance, devoid of sentiment.
“We will continue with this progressive stride. At the end of our tenure, we’ll leave our mark. I want to appreciate our boss and Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for standing by me both before my assumption of office and even now. His Excellency’s support and guidance have been a great source of encouragement and inspiration. What you see in this council today is a reflection of that.
“Today, I reaffirm my administration’s commitment to the progressive development of Isoko North, our administration is focused solely on delivering visible growth across the local government. We will continue with this progressive stride. At the end of our tenure, we’ll leave our work to speak for us. But I pray that our people judge us fairly and without bias.”, Ogorugba stated.
The chairman also used the occasion to appreciate his wife, Deaconess Veronica Ogorugba, for her unwavering support, as well as the vice chairman, his aides, and the management staff of the council for their dedication and teamwork as well as the legislative arm, led by Pascal Emehaula, for the strong synergy between both arms of government.
The event was graced by several dignitaries, including the immediate past State Organizing Secretary of the PDP and former chairman of Isoko North, Emmanuel Egbabor; Executive Assistant to the governor on beautification, political and religious matters, Emmanuel Okpomo, Patrick Akporuno, John Araka, Godspower Agbaduata, Ben Eghare, John Aruakpor, Raphael Asotie and other members of clergies, APC chairman of Isoko North, F.
