Support Your Chairmen With ‘Absolute Humility And Loyalty’ – Delta Council Boss To Elected Councillors
The chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta state, Comerda Friday Ovoke Warri has admonished elected councillors in the twenty-five council areas of the state to work with their various council chairmen with absolute humility and loyalty for greater heights.
Warri who gave the admonition Wednesday in his office, Oleh when he received on a courtesy visit the leaders of forum of councillors in the state, enjoined them to cultivate the habit of working harmoniously in synergy with the executive.
The council chairman appreciated the visit and assured the councillors forum of his support always even as he advised them form the habit of living within their income, as there is always life after office.
“As a former councillor who represented Okpolo-Enwhe ward 09, councillors in the state who are fond of living a champagne life whereas their income can only afford a bottle of beer find it difficult after their tenure. Public office holders must learn the habit of cutting their cloth according to their size.”
Speaking during the visit,, the leader of the Delta State Councillors Forum, Samuel Ekpemupolo Idukedoumene noted that the basis of their visit was to familiarised themselves with council chairmen across the state to enhance a smooth working relationship between the executive and the legislative arms of all councils.
The forum leader thanked the council boss, Friday Ovoke Warri for always carrying the Isoko South legislative arm along and prayed for wisdom to be bestowed upon him.
