Senator Ned Nwoko is set to expand his sports infrastructure projects to Ika South and Ndokwa West Local Government Areas in Delta State, as part of the 2025 appropriations bill.

Dr. Michael Nwoko, Chief of Staff to Distinguished Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko, who disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, said that the move is in line with his commitment to promoting sports as a tool for youth engagement, talent development, and community integration.

The senator’s vision is to create hubs for sporting excellence and community development in these areas, through the construction of football pitches, dressing rooms, and spectator pavilions.

This expansion is a replication of the success of the 2024 sports facility project, which has recorded significant progress, with 70% of the work completed.

Senator Nwoko believes that investment in sports infrastructure can unlock the untapped potential of young people, reducing unemployment and steering them away from social vices.

He has called on community stakeholders to partner in this journey, driven by his desire to leave a legacy of empowerment and hope for Delta North.

According to the statement, “The sports facility project initiated under the 2024 appropriations bill, sited at the Issele-Uku Stadium premises, has recorded significant progress.
